I began this creature model nearly two years ago as a distraction from another project. I decided to revisit it a couple of weeks ago and try to finish it. Obviously I wasn't thinking about modeling for decent rigging or posing. I did make some fixes though that helped out in a few places. Taking that into consideration I think the poses turned out acceptable. I will most likely revisit this again and refine it further.

As for the creature, it is obviously very cat like. I wanted it to be somewhat cute, but still have the look that it could rip your face off. Less obvious is that it is actually a reptile. The one creature in the “Sphinx” pose is showing its tongues. I wanted stereo tasting similar to stereo vision and hearing. This also gives the look of a forked tongue, without being a forked tongue. I also want it, like all of my crap, to have a cartoon look so there is little, or no rather, real detail to it.

The rest of the scene is pretty much filler. I did put some effort, though limited, into the setting. But it's only purpose is to just make the scene less boring than a creature simply standing there.
